We exist to passionately lead people to receive Christ and his purpose for their lives.

Join us as we passionately lead people to Jesus, develop them to maturity in him, equip them to love God and neighbour, and live as witnesses of Jesus in the beautiful city of Stavanger and the world.

To lead people to Jesus for them to become members of his family, disciple them to become Christlike in their thought, emotions and actions, and equip them to love God and one another, and live in this world as witnesses of Jesus for the glory of God

Our Values

SIMC is committed to five values that guide everything we do individually and as a church.

Belong to Christ

We believe the warm and safe arms of Christ are widely open for everyone to come to him and belong in his family. We are passionately committed to leading people to Christ. We live in a dark, confused, and lost world. And the safest place to belong is Christ.

Become like Christ

We strive to become like Christ. We are committed to learning Christ in order to be like him in thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Be a Lover of God and Neighbour

We strive to love extravagantly. We are committed to obeying God as a way of demonstrating our love for him. We believe in engaging in acts of sacrifices, serving one another, and meeting the needs around us as the way to love our neighbour.

Be Witnesses of Christ

We live daily as witnesses of Christ. We believe in sharing what we have heard, seen and experienced in Christ with others. We intentionally allow the Holy Spirit to build Christ in us, such that how we live, what we say, and what we do tell of the love, the grace, the mercy, and the goodness of God to the people around us.

 

Be alive for God’s Glory

We believe our chief end is to glorify God. We are therefore committed to honouring him with our lives, words, and deeds. We believe God made us for his glory. Whatever we do, we will do it for his glory.

Our Vision

We dream of a place where the lonely, the depressed, the hurting, and the confused, and the frustrated can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.

We dream of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the hundreds of thousands of residents in Rogaland

We dream of receiving 2000 members into the family of our church fellowship-loving, learning, celebrating, and living in harmony together.

We dream of developing people to spiritual maturity in Christ through Bible studies, small groups, retreats, seminars, and conferences.

We dream of equipping every believer for ministry by helping them to discover the gifts and talents God gave them.

We dream of developing short time visitors, and students to Stavanger into missionaries, and sending them out/back to their place of origin to do ministry. We dream of starting a daughter church in Bryne.

We dream of owning our own church building designed to minister to the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs of the people.
